About

I am an artist, designer, community volunteer and a cancer patient advocate with the Ulman Foundation. I work and live in Howard County, Maryland.

In 1969 I received a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Fine Arts from George Washington University where I majored in painting with a minor in design. I have been painting and drawing all my life, and exhibiting my work throughout the region. I love working in acrylics, pen and ink, mixed media and collage, and I often incorporate recycled materials in my pieces. My artwork is available for purchase in the Store or by appointment through the Contact page.

In addition to continuing my painting and drawing, my career led me from graphic arts to interior design. In 1987 I established the interior design firm, Designs.

I married Lou Ulman in 1969. We have two sons: Ken Ulman, married to Jaki, and Doug Ulman, married to Amy Grace. We have three granddaughters and one grandson.

I am passionate about art, design, family and my desire for social justice.
