I am an artist, designer, community volunteer and cancer patient advocate with the Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults. I work and live in Howard County, Maryland.

In 1969 I received a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Fine Arts from George Washington University where I majored in painting with a minor in design. I have been painting and drawing all my life, exhibiting my work throughout the region. I love working in acrylics, pen and ink, mixed media and collage, and I often incorporate recycled materials in my pieces.

In addition to painting and drawing, and concurrently, my career led me from graphic arts to interior design. In 1987 I established the interior design firm, Designs.

My husband, Lou Ulman, and I are the parents of Ken Ulman, Director of Strategic Development at University of Maryland at College Park (Formerly Howard County Executive) and his wife Jaki, Consultant at IBM Consulting and Doug Ulman, Consultant to The James Cancer Center at Ohio State University and CEO of Pelotonia, and his wife Amy Grace, Speech Pathologist at The James Cancer Center. We have three granddaughters and one grandson.

I am passionate about art, design, family and my desire for social justice.
